Joint Task Force Meeting for the Initial Phase Development & Myn-Thai-Japan Trilateral Informal Meeting

The Joint Task Force Meeting for the Initial Phase Development of Dawei Special Economic Zone (DSEZ) was convened on 21 February 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand.
 

The Meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Danucha Pichayanan, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) and U Aung Soe, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce.
 

Matters were discussed related to starting the development of Dawei SEZ Initial Phase Project soonest as well as the construction of 2-Lane Road between Myanmar-Thailand border-Htii khee to Dawei SEZ.
 

The meeting was attended by, from Myanmar side, Ambassador to Thailand H.E.U Myo Myint Than, DSEZ MC Vice-Chairman Dr.Myint Sann, Secretary Dr Tin Htoo Naing, Deputy Director-General U Han, Ministry of Trade and Economic and Commerce, Director U Nay Sann, Deputy Director-General U Kyaw Kyaw Naing, Office of Union Attorney -General, Chief Engineer U Myo Myint Oo, Ministry of Construction, Deputy Director Daw Ei Ei Myo, Counsellor, Economic Attache U Lwin Myo Zaw, and U Nay Lynn from DSEZ MC Office.
 

Afterwards, Thailand-Myanmar-Japan Co-secretariat Working-Level informal Meeting for the Development of Dawei Special Economic Zone was held.
