Dr. Tun Naing, Chairman of Dawei SEZ Management Committee attended the Myanmar-Thailand-Japan Tripartite Working Level Meeting and delivered an opening speech.

Chairman stated that the Japanese government intends to participate in the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) and Joint High Level Committee (JHC) formed by the Myanmar-Thailand government for the comprehensive development of the Dawei SEZ project. He stated that the official proposal of Japanese Government for such case has been received by Myanmar and Thailand governments and opinions of relevant governments in this are welcome. Myanmar will make constructive responds on this and three countries have to take actions on necessary stages with cooperation by individual countries the soonest, to start discussions made by representatives of three countries as per their own proposals as well as on the technical assistance proposed by Japanese side, and to more cooperate in such stages as they are important as soon as possible for the success of the Dawei SEZ Full Phase development.

The meeting was attended by Myanmar side were DSEZ Vice Chairman Dr. Myint San, Secretary Dr. Tin Htoo Naing, MICB bank Managing Director Daw Win Win Maw, U Oo Han, Deputy Director-General, Ministry of Commerce, U Kyaw Kyaw Naing, Deputy Director-General, Union Attorney General office and U Aung Moe Chai, Deputy Director-General, Foreign Economic and Relation Department.

From Thailand side, Mr. Thuttai Keeratipongpaiboon, Acting Director, International Strategy and Coordination Division and representatives from Japan side Mr. IMAKYUREI Manabu, Deputy Director-General, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Watanabe, Director, MOFA, Mr. YAMAMOTO Taishi, Director, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and Mr. Takimi Kazuyuki, Counsellor, Embassy of Japan in Myanmar attended the meeting.
