2G- Import duty exemption (GSP)
Investors in Dawei SEZ will benefit from preferential tariff schemes offered by foreign governments for Myanmar-produced goods.
- ASEAN- Myanmar enjoys 0-5% import tariff for almost all products exported to ASEAN countries
- European Union- Myanmar is under the "Everything But Arms" (EBA) status, and imports from Myanmar into the EU are exempted from all duties and quotas. Benefits from EBA are expected to last at least until 2021. After which, Myanmar will still benefit from GSP Scheme with reduced tariffs for imports into the EU, at least until 2033.
- Others- the Republic of Korea also offers duty-free and quota-free tariff for Myanmar-produced goods. Canada, Japan, China, India, Australia and New Zealand also offer preferential tariff rates and quota for majority of goods from Myanmar, while the USA is considering extending preferential tariff scheme to Myanmar.
