Myanmar-Thai Joint Task Force Meeting for the Initial Phase Development of Dawei Special Economic was held on 28^th May in Bangkok, Thailand.

Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Commerce, Secretary of Myanmar Special Econmic Zone Central Working Body U Aung Soe, Vice Chariman of Dawei Special Economic Zone Management Committee Dr. Myint San, Contact Person of DSEZ MC Office U Nay Lynn and Representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Union General Attorney Office, Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Commerce attended the meeting.

During the meeting, they discussed Overview of the Initial Phase Development of Dawei Special Economic Zone (Dawei SEZ), Overview of JICA’s Data Collection Survey for Development Planning in Tanintharyi Region and Dawei SEZ (DPTD) and Preparation for the 9th Joint Coordinating Committee Meeting for the Comprehensive Development in the Dawei SEZ and its Related Project Areas.

On the same day, Myanmar JTF Team leader and the entourage visited Eastern Economic Corridor Agency Office.
